This piece was inspired by excavated MAGATAMA from the Jomon period and reflects one of the earliest forms of Japanese jade ornaments. Unlike the more refined shapes seen in later periods, early MAGATAMA often possessed a simple and spontaneous character. This piece follows that ancient aesthetic, expressing a primitive and timeless beauty. Each piece is individually carved and polished by hand with respect for ancient forms and Jomon sensibilities.
