Kanayamadani is a tributary valley of the Omi River in Itoigawa, Niigata, Japan, known for its beautiful green and black jadeite. This piece has a small triangular form with softly rounded corners and gently curved surfaces. Its slightly asymmetrical outline gives the simple shape an individual, organic character. Despite its compact 11mm size, the stone has generous thickness, giving the pendant a pleasing sense of presence and highlighting the depth of the jadeite’s color. In everyday light, the stone displays a beautiful mint green color with a gentle, slightly creamy appearance and subtle natural variations.
