The nephrite displays a beautiful deep, rich green tone with a natural, earthy character. Under normal light, the stone has a calm and substantial appearance. When illuminated with strong transmitted light, however, it reveals beautiful translucency, glowing with vivid green to yellow-green tones from within. Rather than completely reshaping the stone into a predetermined form, this IWABUE was created by making use of the original natural shape of the nephrite rough stone. Its elongated, gently tapering silhouette follows the character of the original material, preserving an organic and primitive form unique to this individual stone. The surface has been carefully hand-polished while intentionally retaining some of the natural character and subtle irregularities of the nephrite. It has a gentle natural luster rather than an excessively high-gloss finish, giving the stone a smooth and pleasing tactile quality. The dense fibrous structure characteristic of nephrite gives the piece a substantial feel, while its soft translucency creates beautiful depth beneath the deep green surface. This IWABUE has a single blowing hole and requires some practice to produce a clear tone. Once the correct angle and airflow are found, the stone produces a clear whistle.
